Interview with a Life Coach Continues….
Here is a follow on from the previous blog (so please go back one space if you have not read about this before!!)
Q2. Do you look at the whole picture of a client’s life, or just focus on their lifestyle?
A. A friend once introduced me to an Italian dish which consisted of veal, pasta, mozzarella cheese and a variety of vegetables. I picked up a piece of veal and a piece of pasta and had a tasted. I was quickly pulled up and advised that in order to truly understand the flavor I would need to taste all components on the recipe. It did just that and realised how true it was. How certain foods complimented and enhanced others, how combination’s made a big difference. That simple lesson is so relevant when dealing with people and evaluating their situation. You see if I was to just look at the lifestyle I would only get a taste of one part of the recipe that makes up the individual. A true evaluation is gained by referencing and cross referencing, this way we can offer a balanced appraisal giving us the best possible outcome.
Q3. How did you know that being a Lifestyle Coach and Mentor was going to make a difference to your life and to your members that you coach?
A. I guess crystal balling is something that everyone would love to master. The problem is that it would take away the thrill of expectation, the excitement of learning and the pleasure of succeeding.
In short I, like most people had an idea of the possible outcome however, I left the eventual outcome to faith, not religious faith but the faith in my ability to be able to offer possibility. One of my great revelations I have experienced over the years is that people in most cases have the answers it’s just giving them the tools to look for them, to recognise them and to adapt them.
Q4. If you could offer one piece of advice to others that are also on a journey for more prosperity in their life, be it wealth, happiness, health, relationships or the whole package, what would that advice be?
A. Are the BIG ONE! Let me answer that question like this. I am very luck as I’ve never been scared to try things be it personally, in business, with different sports or for the thrill of it. The luck is not just to take part as a matter of face I came to realise that the long term luck of it was when I faulted or came unstuck.
At times seriously but in most cases it was a bruised pride or ego or both. Seeing the luck of was never immediate but eventually I wised up to the fact that there was amazingly powerful and life changing opportunities in not achieving my required outcome. So, the answer is ‘Rejoice in you successes and learn from those situations that suck’. Please remember, that is a general offering. Unlike a lot of people in the industry, I do not think there is any one single thing that works for everyone.
