Why does it take a member of Parliament to help
Reconnect our phone?
Sorry I have not been here to communicate with
all of my wonderful friends but to due to a Telstra
error our phone was disconnected on Monday about 10am.
Then we lost our internet connection as well.
I was on the phone with Telstra and AAPT over the
Last three days…back and forwards to find out why
It had happened and when it would be fixed.
To say I was getting the run around was a understatement!!
I made enquire after enquire, And even made a formal
complaint, to hear Telstra Say
“we are sorry that it was our fault, but you will
have to wait another business day to have your phone
reconnected, with you paying the reconnection fee.
Then you will need to wait another 4-5 business days
to have your internet connected.
I was at my boiling point by then.
I was only getting “sorry but there is nothing we can do”,
which was making me madder and madder!
I then turned to our local member of government for our area.
From speaking with this wonderful man yesterday morning,
our phone was connected within one hour.
After speaking with him again yesterday afternoon, our
internet was re-connected today at lunch time.
I was amazed that with one phone call he was able to help us
out within one hour for our phone, and within 24 hours for our
internet.
He accomplished everything I had been trying to fix over three days.
I am so very grateful to this amazing position this man holds.
My only question is why was our phone disconnected in
the first place, and why does it take a man in power to accomplish
what I had been trying for three days to fix?
Life works in mysterious ways……whatever I am just
Grateful that I was steamed enough to make that one important
call to our local member, and that he took
Time out of his busy day to help a everyday mum that
Works from home. Thank you to the powers that be that
I am back:)
